CUI introduces two new low cost panel mount optical encoders. The EC204B025A has a resolution of 25PPR, detent, 2,000,000 cycles life, and requires a maximum input of 5VDC. The RE25NS25X also has a resolution of 25PPR and 2,000,000 cycles life, but it is available in models with 3.3VDC (CMOS) or 5VDC (TTL) input, and with or without detent. In addition, the RE25NS25X has a push switch built into the rotating shaft. Both models are available with four output configurations: solder hole (shown), lead wire, pc board mount or header connector. Applications include CNC controls, audio-visual equipment, medical devices, communications equipment, and instruments. Pricing for both models start at $10.80 in quantities of 1,000.
