Ultra-Compact Ac-Dc Power Supplies

Available in open frame packages, CUI's PBO series are a family of ultra-compact SIP ac-dc power supplies designed to maximize space where on-board ac-dc power conversion is required. Ranging from 1 W to 15 W these models are offered in vertical and right-angle versions, feature typical efficiency as high as 85% and a wide operating temperature range up to -40 to +85°C for use in challenging environments. Providing a reliable and economical low power solution, these ultra-compact models are ideally suited for a range of industrial, IoT and telecommunication applications.

Compact Case

A SIP footprint and the omission of bulky filter components leads to ultra-compact ac-dc power conversion that occupies minimal board space. As one of the largest components in many systems, any reduction in power supply size can lead to significant space savings in the end application.

High Reliability

A minimalist design and low component count helps these power supplies achieve an MTBF of up to 1 million hours. Components that typically reduce MTBF are left to the end user to select based on their specific reliability goals.

Flexible Design

By leaving out the EMI filter stage, the user is able to pick and choose the location, value, and size of the filter in order to meet their specific design objectives. This added flexibility can lead to more optimized and creative solutions for the end application, giving it an edge up on the competition.
