In this Power 101 video, we explore the IEC 62368-1 safety standard. On December 20th, 2020, 62368-1 replaced and unified the 60950 and 60065 safety standards for ICT and AV equipment. The 62368-1 standard functions off the new Hazard-Based Safety Engineering (HBSE) principle and allows designers more flexibility to design safety measures appropriate for their products.
